Cruz’s allure has been undeniable since she starred in Pedro Almodóvar’s Jamon Jamon (1992) as a teenager, but when she reunited with the auteur for 2006′s Volver, the director captured her beauty at its most ripe. She instills her curvy heroine with both strength and vulnerability, and when she treats her restaurant’s customers with a heartfelt ballad, her entire being radiates.
Pe was on two talk shows the past few days, Leno and Ellen. Both interviews were so hilarious! View them below.
On Jay Leno one of the funniest moment was when Penélope was learning english and went into a hair salon and said she wanted a blow job instead of her hair blown dry. Ellen DeGeneres played pictionary with her and acted out how Penélope will react if she loses. Very funny must-see clips!
Note: Show highlight above. Watch the full episode here or here.
Miss Cruz will will appear on Ellen DeGeneres on Wednesday February 4th (today). I can’t wait for this one! She was also on Jay Leno last night. There are no videos up yet, but they should be coming soon and I’ll be back with the video of Pe.
Miss Cruz will will appear on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Tuesday February 3rd. She will no doubt be talking about her Oscar nomination so definitely tune in!
Pe is nominated in the BAFTA longlist twice for leading actress for Elegy and supporting for Vicky Cristina Barcelona. Furthermore Vicky is up for original screenplay, Hall & Johansson for leading actress, Bardem for leading actor.
The BAFTA longlists include 15 contenders in each category, from which the five nominees will be chosen in the second round of voting. Once the nominees are finalized, the whole membership votes again to decide the best film, four acting prizes and film not in the English language. In all remaining categories, the members of each chapter (or jury) determine the vote.
The awards will take place Feb. 8 at London’s Royal Opera House.
