I thought this was so cute!
Penelope Cruz looks so similar to her sister Monica, she sometimes confuses herself.
The Hollywood beauty shares twin-like facial features with her younger sibling, and Cruz admits she is stunned by how alike they look.
She says, “The other day we were sitting together in the back of the car and I was looking in the rear view mirror and a very strange thing happened: I thought I was looking at my face and it was hers!”
Andrea from Celebutopia scanned a new magazine article featuring two beautiful Pe images. From Gala (France).
Gorgeous Cruz attended the Vicky Cristina Barcelona screening at the 52nd Annual London Film Festival earlier tonight. She looked magnificent in a black dress!
Better late than never! Check out our scans from Glamour‘s August issue which featured Miss Cruz on it’s cover.
Penélope Cruz, Javier Bardem and Woody Allen have been busy promoting Vicky Cristina Barcelona in Spain. On September 20, they attended a screening of the film in Barcelona. Penélope looked gorgeous in a black number and an up-do… Yet another beautiful look from this classy lady!

A vintage treat! Pe for Spec magazine back some eight years ago. She has a bit of Consuela Castillo look in these! I absolutely love this set.
If you’re like us, you adore the Mango ad campaigns Miss Cruz models for. The shoots are also classy, elegant, sexy and very creative! Not surprising, the Fall 08/09 doesn’t disappoint! Check out some of the first shots from them, in the first two, Pe’s beautiful sister Monica Cruz was also photographed.

Right now Elegy is in many select theatres. Penélope Cruz plays Consuela Castillo and is also getting rave reviews for her performance. I thought I would make today’s update all about the film and post a big batch of pictures. I think Penélope looks ravishing in this film, it’s probably one of my top film ‘looks’ of hers ever! I hope you enjoy the gorgeous images!

And then — the movie takes a dramatic turn, which I will not reveal, even though it contains all the deepest emotions and real feelings of the story. And in these scenes, Cruz is quietly powerful and very true. You understand why the Spanish director, Isabel Coixet, chose Cruz instead of, say, a 19-year-old. An actress needs depth and the experience of life to play these scenes, and Cruz has them.
Today ComingSoon.net has released a red band trailer for Elegy. The film looks absolutely wonderful, I really have high hopes for Pe in this one! But be warned the trailer features some mature content.
On August 4th the press conference for Vicky Cristina Barcelona was held and Scarlett Johansson, Javier Bardem and Penélope Cruz were in attendence. Here are some photos of her from the event!
To continue with the Vicky Cristina Barcelona celebration updates, I am posting a handful of gorgeous images of Pe from the 2008 Cannes Film Festival (where the film made it’s world premiere). We simply adore this photocall, and she could not be more cute if she tried!
Vicky Cristina Barcelona was released this past Friday (August 15th) and to celebrate here is a batch of promo images of gorgeous Penélope as Maria Elena. Since the film made it’s premiere at Cannes, reviews were very positive for Penélope’s performance, some even going as far to say another Oscar nod could be in her future! Sadly for me, the film didn’t get into release in my neck of the woods, but I still couldn’t be more excited for the movie!
From Rolling Stone:
What sparks the movie is Penélope Cruz as Maria Elena, the painter’s ex-wife, a fireball given to strong emotions — hell, she once stabbed Juan Antonio during an argument. You haven’t lived till you’ve heard Cruz and Bardem trading Woody Allen one-liners in Spanish. They’re so ferociously funny you won’t even need the subtitles. Bardem, spinning 180 degrees from his bad-haircut villain in No Country for Old Men, is charm personified. And watching him switch tactics to tempt the luscious, pliable Johansson and the resistant, engaged Hall is a lesson in the art of seduction. But watching Cruz, switching between Spanish and English, untamed passion and chilly despair, is a lesson in the art of acting. Oscar-nominated for Pedro Almodóvar’s Volver, Cruz should have the golden boy at her feet this time. Whether she’s (whoa!) planting hot kisses on Johansson in a darkroom or shedding light on her own secret pain, Cruz is a stunner in every sense of the word — wild, erotic, quick-witted, touching and possessed of a beauty that can sneak up and break your heart. In this light-comic breeze of a movie, Cruz is a gathering storm.
