An international face for an international brand, both Spanish in its roots.

This is what most people feel with the recent introduction of Penelope Cruz as the latest face of Loewe. Loewe, being the number 1 leather goods company teamed up with Penelope Cruz, the most famous woman in Spain at its latest campaign. Stuart Vevers, the creative director of Loewe claims that the collaboration for the two big Spanish names feels not only right but very natural as well.

Gone were the days when life for Penelope Cruz meant partying wild and living free.  blame it on motherhood or on getting older but the most famous woman of Spain is now seeing life at a different light.

“About ten years ago I had a wild, confused phase – I just wanted to get lost in life and not think about the consequences,”  she shares about her life a decade ago in an interview with a German Magazine.

For instance, she can not tolerate alcohol in the same way that she was able to years ago. She admits that a bottle or two is enough to get her tipsy.

Being a star means showing up at events wearing designer clothes. One minute you are wearing a Versace, the next a Vera Wang. As for Penelope Cruz, she loves to wear Azzedine Alaia designs these days.

The reason as to this startling Spanish actress is drawn to the Tunisian designer’s work is due to the fact that in Penelope Cruz’s opinion, nobody knows a woman’s body other than Alaia.

It is no wonder that in the shot of her 2013 calendar for Campari, Cruz is spotted wearing several Alaia designs.  ”I liked so many of the dresses but I’m a huge fan of Alaia. I think he really knows the body of a woman.”, she tells Vogue Magazine.

If your definition of a date means getting a girl drunk before taking her home,  then Penelope Cruz is a cheap date as one does not have to dig deep into their pockets when having  date with this hot Spanish mama. She claims that ““After two beers now I’m already tipsy. I guess, I’m what men would call a cheap date!”

Yes, she may not look like it but Penelope Cruz these days is not your average material girl. While she may portray roles of sophisticated women who look as if they would only date men with 6-figure salaries, Penelope prefers to stick with her two boys, Javier and Leo.

Call it a blessing in disguise as you know know how down to earth this Spanish star is but as they say, you can look but you can not touch as she is not even out  and available in the dating market.

From handbags to lingerie, clothing to accessories, it seems that nothing can stop Penelope Cruz into getting in to the world of designing. ”As an actress you get to go to these events and wear their things, it’s fun. I don’t put a lot of time into it but I respect what they do.” she says in one of her interviews.

Not only that she is moonlighting into the world of design but it seems as if she is using her time to design as a way to bond with her sister Monica as they have been working together in her designing ventures. It is no wonder why she says that “It’s great working with my sister because we are very close as a family – my brother, my sister and myself. We have a great relationship. It’s a blessing because you want to be together as much as possible, so to work together is really great.”

For instance, they have teamed up again for Agent Provocateur’s lingerie line which will be released next year. Other than that, they also have a range of handbags designed for Samantha Thavasa, a Japanese store and of course, there is her work for Mango.

Changing outfit for a celebrity is as common as breathing. Take the case of Penelope Cruz 3 outfits in the San Sebastien International Film Festival in Spain. The award wining actress is present at the said event because she is promoting her new film, Twice Born.

In her first appearance at the red carpet, she is seen wearing a n ankle length black pants with a black and white cardigan. This causal ensemble is paired with a sky-high stiletto pumps.

And then there is the photo call where she is seen wearing a floral sheath in the shade of black and pink. Her figure is highlighted in this body-hugging dress where she wore the same pumps and a magenta clutch.

For the evening, Penelope appears im a red floor length gown with draping pleats to add more details to the monochromatic ensemble.

Celebrities have crazy schedules, one moment you are in front of the camera, next moment you are in an airport and so on. Take the case of globe-trotting Spanish actress, Penelope Cruz who looks good  whether dressed in haute couture, casual wear or even rags for that matter.

The actress is currently spotted entering an airport wearing a tweed jacket, fitted denim jeans, suede kicks and a Flamenco bag from Loewe.  Her understated look that day has a little touch of whim as the cross body carrier in the shade of stone and blue becomes one of the primary focal point in her travel ensemble.

The latest talk in town is that Penelope Cruz will play the role of Mauricio Gucci’s ex-wife/ The film is to be directed by Ridley Scott’s daughter Jordan. The award wining actress is currently busy with Ridley’s Scott’s The Counselor but if all goes well, she will play Patrizia Reggiani in Jordan Scott’s Gucci.

Patricia Reggiani is known as the black widow as she hired a hit-man to murder her ex-husband after their divorce. Raggianni was then sentenced for 26 years of imprisonment but in the year 2011, she was given a chance but refused a parole as she claims she that she have never done work and have no intention of starting one after being released if the parole will be approved.

One of the latest additions to the Gervin Wax Museum in Paris is the wax figure of Penelope Cruz. Dressed in a bright blue gown with jeweled accents, the figure is spot on in term of the height and the body of the award winning Spanish actress.

However, if you take a closer look at the wax sculpture of Penelope Cruz you will see that the face isn’t that similar ot that of the actress’s actual face. They may have gotten the body right but the face of the beautiful vixen is just to hard to perfect be it in wax or in other mediums.

The musical bugs seem to have bitten a huge portion off the artistic pie of Penelope Cruz as the actress reveals her interests in working at more musicals be it in film or TV.

The award wining actress was first introduced in the world of musicals when she appeared in the movie Nine in 2009. Penelope says she intends to follow her pal, Gwyneth Paltrow’s footsteps in doing musicals.

With her hubby, Javier Bardem appearing in Glee, it won’t be that long before Penelope Cruz would appear in musicals as well. While musicals may be her interest these days, it must be noted that Penelope admits that she is not yet that brave to do Broadway Musicals yet.

Rains usually get the better off people, most especially actors who are out for a shoot. But not in the case of the award-winning actress, Penelope Cruz as she seems to be in good spirits despite the downpour.

Her latest movie project, The Counselor is currently shooting at Alicante. Yes, the Spanish coastal area may be renowned for its warm weather though it must be noted that September is its wettest month thus it follows that the cast and crew of this movie are definitely prepared for heavy rain.

The shoot schedule is supposed to be done on the warm months but the death of the director’s sibling delayed the shooting so they are now shooting on location even if it is said to be the time of the year when the place is frequented by rain clouds.

The award-wining actress is spotted at the theme park with a group of other moms like the Spanish actress Goya Toledo. These moms explored the park, pushed strollers and even ate at the food court with their children.

Penelope Cruz definitely knows how to dress down in her public day out with her son as she wears a khaki shirt, a flared denim pants and a brown boots. Ironically, her brunette locks and  her shades  in an effort to hide  her face are the only things that makes her recognizable.
