Penélope Cruz has revealed she has caught the musical bug after starring in 2009 film Nine.

The actress said she and husband Javier Bardem can’t get enough of musical series Glee, and added that she would jump at the chance to flex her own pipes again.

She told Entertainment Weekly: ‘It’s actually the only thing that I watch on television. Gwyneth [Paltrow] was amazing. Once you’ve done a musical you always want to do it again. I would love to do more musicals, in TV or film. Not on Broadway, because I’m not brave enough to do that yet. But I love musicals.’

Fans of Captain Jack Sparrow can catch a glimpse of the rugged swashbuckler all cleaned up and moonlighting as actor Johnny Depp at the world premiere of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, happening May 7 at Disneyland.

Depp, along with co-stars Penelope Cruz, Geoffrey Rush and Ian McShane are expected to attend the “black carpet” event, a dinner soiree anchored by an outdoor 3D screening of the film. Watch out for flying swords!

Tickets for the premiere are a wild $1,000, though all proceeds will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Those who can’t shell out that type of cash can still try to see the celebrities by purchasing a ticket to the park and lining up ridiculously early.

From Disney blog Inside the Magic:

Admission to Disneyland on May 7 allows guests to stand on the sidewalks of Main Street USA. Disneyland gates will open at 6:30 am that day, at which time guests will be able to line up at the red carpet (black carpet!) to wait for the events to begin. No saving spaces will be allowed. The Mickey & Friends Parking Structure will open at 5:30 am on May 7th for Guests to park. Guests will not be encouraged to line up at the Disneyland Main Gate prior to 5:30 am.

A Matador’s Mistress (originally known as Manolete) finally gets a highly anticipated U.S. release when it arrives on DVD and Video on Demand on June 7th. I can’t wait to see this – I was looking forward to the film for a very long time!

Along with breathtaking international locations, steamy love scenes and stunning bullfighting sequences, A Matador’s Mistress features deeply moving performances by both the Spanish-born Cruz who took home the Oscar for Vicky Cristina Barcelona and co-star Adrien Brody who won Best Actor for The Pianist. The cast of the Untitled Woody Allen Project is coming together quickly, with Ellen Page and Penélope Cruz locked in for roles in the drama.

We reported two days ago that Alec Baldwin secured a role in the project, with Jesse Eisenberg in talks for a lead role. Jesse Eisenberg’s deal has now been finalized, although it still isn’t clear what kind of character he is playing. No character details were given for Ellen Page or Penélope Cruz’s characters either.

Woody Allen will direct from his own screenplay, with Letty Aronson and Helen Robin. All that is known about the story is that it will be set in Rome.

Like Jesse Eisenberg, the Untitled Woody Allen Project will be Ellen Page’s first movie with the legendary filmmaker. Penélope Cruz previously worked with Woody Allen in the 2008 comedy Vicky Cristina Barcelona, where she won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.

Untitled Woody Allen Project comes to theaters in 2012 and stars Alec Baldwin, Jesse Eisenberg, Ellen Page, Penélope Cruz. The film is directed by Woody Allen.
