Miss Cruz didn’t win for Supporting Actress, that honor went to Kate Winslet instead, but congrats to Penelope for the nomination.
Penélope Cruz was a vision in a long navy blue gown on Thursday at the 14th Annual Critics’ Choice Awards. Her dress features a feminine sweetheart neckline and ribbon detail at the waist gives it an interesting twist. She tops it all off with a black clutch and simple jewels.
Miss Cruz unfortunately did win not for Vicky Cristina Barcelona in the Supporting Actress category, that went to the lovely Kate Winslet for The Reader instead. Still Penélope was the apitamy of elegance and glamour at the event.

Pe is nominated in the BAFTA longlist twice for leading actress for Elegy and supporting for Vicky Cristina Barcelona. Furthermore Vicky is up for original screenplay, Hall & Johansson for leading actress, Bardem for leading actor.
The BAFTA longlists include 15 contenders in each category, from which the five nominees will be chosen in the second round of voting. Once the nominees are finalized, the whole membership votes again to decide the best film, four acting prizes and film not in the English language. In all remaining categories, the members of each chapter (or jury) determine the vote.
